A service animal is not a pet. The "Bringing a pet" section below — contacting reservations beforehand to confirm acceptance and terms — does not apply to a service animal. We do not ask you to arrange one in advance, and we do not ask for notice or documentation for one.
If it helps your trip to plan around the animal — where it will travel in the cabin, or a longer stop on the route — tell us and we will plan around it. That is an offer, not a condition.
For what the term covers, the U.S. Department of Justice publishes service animal guidance. An emotional support animal is a different thing under those rules, and is arranged as a pet below.
Contact reservations before you book so acceptance and the terms for your trip can be confirmed in writing.
